When I last looked into this I came up blank: My understanding is that there is no way to really have a fully FOSS version of Android. Reasons are plentiful but one of them is that drivers for hardware are closed source etc. Is there any open hardware/software platforms for mobile phones? It seems it's either pest or cholera: iOS or Android nowadays.
