I yesterday paid for bitwarden in the cloud. It is not as polished as 1Password but it also doesn't give to DHH.

That said, replacing problematic software is a struggle. Especially when it comes to AI stuff. So many good things use it, too. Like openlogi as an alternative to the terrible logi options+. And I am still split on my decision to avoid "AI" in my personal life, if I am honest. Trying to do the right thing is a process, not a one-off decision and scrutinizing back and forth is part of the deal.
