Looked today into how to downgrade my vps I have with OVH. Turns out that upgrading the vps is just few clicks, downgrading isn’t… you can order a new one and move your stuff over that way though. "Fine", I thought. However, the 2027 vps range is much worse, performance wise: . So I decided that I'll keep my slightly over specked vps with them for now and canceled my cancelation.

That also means I will stop running containers on my synology for now and just consolidate everything on the vps. Still not super happy about coolify as it is AFAIK impossible to "infrastructure as code" the thing, but if I don't have to move, that is not so bad. And maybe in a year things will look differently… For now, I'm kicking the can down the road.
